Music study is more than notes and rhythms. Piano lessons cultivate patience, focus, and discipline—skills that extend far beyond the instrument. At the same time, music offers space for beauty, creativity, and self-expression, inviting each student to connect with art in a deeply personal way.
Research & Interests
While trained as a classical pianist and performer of the great masters, Tianyu’s scholarly and curatorial work focuses on music from the twentieth century to the present. She brings the works of Berio, Boulez, Feldman, Ligeti, and others to the public—especially meaningful now, as the centennials of many of these composers are being celebrated.
